Fred Sampang was the first physical therapist I’ve ever had in my life and I couldn’t be more grateful to have him! He truly allowed me to recover at my own pace while always pushing me to do as much as I could! Never once did I ever feel like he was ever pushing me too hard or letting me get too relaxed! And in addition to the great pacing, we also had a great time in therapy! I would always look forward to our training sessions and it was almost as if I forgot I was rehabbing! Our partnership led to an extremely speedy and complete recovery and I am so grateful for the success that I was able to achieve this past year in large part due to his help! I was able to win the Texas State title, break the Texas State Discus Record, break two AAU National records and make another US team while having an undefeated season!
I was referred to Fred after I’d been involved in a hydroplaning accident that not only fractured and rotated my right talus 180 degrees, but had also severely damaged my tibial nerve. Nine new screws and a plate were needed to repair the fractures. Recovery was challenging post surgery as was keeping the swelling at bay.
Fred worked with me for six months. He went above and beyond to help me research what therapies would work best and within what I was able to tolerate. He voluntarily made himself available even after our appointments to discuss ways to help reduce my swelling (compression socks), home therapies and if I was improving appropriately. I made significant improvements and progressed from using a scooter and a walker to being able to walk independently again. Best yet, he made our sessions fun while challenging and informative

If you are looking for a great therapist, I would strongly recommend Fred. He was invaluable to my recovery and even to the discovery of my additional needs. He is personable, well respected, knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond – even if your needs are challenging and outside of the norm.

Fred was my physical therapist for over 6 months as I recovered from a repaired ACL after a full tear. Fred was kind and funny, competent and concerned. He made sure to know my recovery goals and worked to achieve them – pushing me when necessary, while encouraging me to rest and recover when I needed it. If I have to tear it again, Fred’s my man.
